Before the start of the Bookfair weekend, join us for the “5 à 7″ opening of the Art & Anarchy exhibition, which is part of the Festival of Anarchy and the Montreal Anarchist Bookfai

This year’s Art & Anarchy exhibition includes paintings, illustrations, posters, prints, performances and more. In addition to the Friday opening, Art & Anarchy can be viewed during the Montreal Anarchist Bookfair (Saturday & Sunday, May 24-25, 10am-5pm).

The Art & Anarchy vernisssage will also include a performance of “what the fuck am i doing here?: an anti-folk opera about anarchists and the 2012 quebec student strike.”

what the fuck am i doing here? is an anti-folk opera about anarchists and the 2012 quebec student strike written by and starring caytee lush. the show explores the emotional highs and lows of the strike, the heart wrenching betrayal of co-optation and reminds us that “this wasn’t the beginning and it won’t be the end”. the performance will be followed by a discussion about anarchist involvement in the quebec student strike. info: whatthefuckamidoinghere.com.
