The theme of the room this year will be “Documenting, Disseminating, and Celebrating Anarchist Oral Histories”. As always, we will be doing a live broadcast from the Bookfair on Saturday, May 24 from 2-4pm on CKUT, 90.3 FM, and online at www.ckut.ca!

*NB all workshops are hands-on, and will be presented in English and French. Translation towards Spanish will also be available.

This year, we will be co-presenting the Autonomous Media Room with SoMove: The Social Movements Oral History Tour of North America. Read more about SoMove here: www.somove.org

- 2pm-5pm FM Transmitter Building Workshop – with CKUT Radio (EN/FR)

And ongoing throughout the Bookfair weekend:
Recording Anarchist Oral Histories with SubMedia.TV and SoMove
May 24 & 25, 11am-5pm, CEDA, Room #300 (not accessible to wheelchairs)

We will be inviting anyone at the Bookfair to come record their personal testimonies in the form of a 10-15 minute interview. Some of the questions we will ask are:
- What does anarchism mean to you?
- Who are some people/what are some books/films/other media that inspired your anarchism?
- Was there a particular moment or movement that shaped your experience as an anarchist?

The interviews will be filmed and broadcast afterwards by CKUT radio and SubMedia TV. Participants can chose to give their testimonies anonymously as well. We speak English, French, and Spanish.

Whether you’ve been an anarchist for a week, or a lifetime, come give your testimony! We especially encourage women, transgender folks, people of colour, Indigenous people, queer folks, and those often left out of anarchist discourse to come speak out.
