Support the Bookfair
We are looking for volunteers to actively support the organizing of this year’s Bookfair, starting now! If you can support us, get in touch: email@example.com. Here are some specific ways you can support us now:
a) Volunteer for the Montreal Anarchist Bookfair
The Montreal Anarchist Bookfair is seeking the support of volunteers who can help with the organization and promotion of this year’s Bookfair and Festival of Anarchy.
There are many tasks associated with the Bookfair, including planning and preparing for childcare and kids activities, Art and Anarchy, workshops and presentations, organizing tables and distributors, various logistics including food, translations, and more. As well, there is the promotion of the Bookfair itself, which includes postering, flyering, online publicity and more.
If you can help volunteer with any of these tasks, please get in touch at any time by phone or e-mail. If you have any particular skills or contributions you can make towards the organization of the Bookfair, get in touch as well.
The Bookfair collective is organizing several volunteer meetings so that we can meet face-to-face and let people know how they can get involved.
The upcoming volunteer meetings will be:
- WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22, 6pm-7pm or 9pm-9:30pm (followed by postering/flyering)
- FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 11am-1pm
- WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 6pm-7pm or 9pm-9:30pm (followed by postering/flyering)
- FRIDAY, MAY 15, 11am-1pm
- WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 6pm-7pm or 9pm-9:30pm (followed by postering/flyering)
All meetings above will be at 1500 de Maisonneuve West, #204 (métro Guy-Concordia). The space is wheelchair accessible. Come by at any time in the hours above (whether for 15 minutes or longer).

b) Advertising in your publication
Do you publish a magazine, newspaper, journal or other publication? Do you moderate an e-mail list, an e-bulletin, or update a website? Will you be publishing before May 1, 2015?
If so, please consider running an announcement for the upcoming Montreal Anarchist Bookfair. We can send you an ad specific to your publication. The Montreal Anarchist Bookfair is organized on a very modest budget by an all-volunteer collective, so we cannot pay you for ads. But we can link to your publication from our website as a form of mutual support.
Please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to offer ad space in your publication.
c) Web Links
d) Postering/Flyering in Montréal
If you can help promote the Bookfair and Festival of Anarchy in your neighborhood, school or community, please get in touch: email@example.com
We will be actively promoting the 2015 Bookfair all over the Montreal-area. Let us know if you can help with postering or flyering.
If you are from outside Montreal, get in touch if you would like us to send you posters and pamphlets. We are hoping to have these materials available for download on our website later in March.
Thanks for considering these requests.
